Vienna and San Juan Church's renew rivalry at FIBA 3x3 World Tour Almaty

ALMATY (Kazakhstan) - Vienna (AUT) and San Juan Church's (PUR) will once again do battle as the FIBA 3x3 World Tour travels to Kazakhstan for the first time with the World Tour Almaty on July 13-14. 

There will be plenty of interest in the Pool B blockbuster after No.2 seed Vienna knocked out San Juan Church's on Day One at the Edmonton World Tour

Vienna will be on a mission to go one better after finishing runner-up in Edmonton and they also play Bishkek (KGZ) in Pool B. 

After a slow start to the season, No.1 seed Ub Huishan NE (SRB) are back to their brilliant best having clinched the Fribourg Challenger hot on the heels of winning the Chengdu Masters. 

The spectacular Serbs will face an early test in Pool A against Hangzhou (CHN), who have impressed on the pro circuit and will be making their World Tour 2024 debut. 

Zavkhan SAINSCORE (MGL) can't be underestimated and they will showcase Mongolia's impressive depth of talent.

Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) will be eying a second title on this season's World Tour after their brilliant triumph at the Marseille Masters.

And they will feel confident in Pool C against Lausanne (SUI), who they easily defeated at the Ulaanbaatar Masters on Day One.

But that defeat sparked Lausanne, who ended up making the final in Ulaanbaatar and also in Chengdu. The Swiss Maestros slipped up to Vienna in the quarters in Edmonton, but they will be determined to finally end their World Tour curse. 

Atyrau (KAZ) won't just be a third wheel because they will have the passionate support of the home fans on their side. 

The mouth-watering games keep on coming in an action-packed start to this historic tournament with Partizan (SRB) and Riffa (BRN) highlighting Pool D. 

The Serbs shrugged off a slow start to the World Tour season with a semi-final finish in Edmonton, but they'll face a pumped-up Riffa who have not fired so far in 2024. 

The highly-fancied teams are the strong favorites to emerge from Pool D, but Almaty (KAZ) are hoping playing on their half-court fuels a giant-killing run.
