The first stop of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2026 takes place in Utsunomiya, Japan, on April 25–26.
Located in Tochigi Prefecture, just north of Tokyo, Utsunomiya has established itself as one of the leading cities for 3x3 basketball worldwide. Known for its strong local support and consistent event delivery, the city has become a cornerstone of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour calendar.
This marks the ninth time Utsunomiya hosts a World Tour event and the fifth time it stages the season-opening tournament.
Beyond basketball, Utsunomiya is widely recognized for its vibrant street culture and as Japan’s “gyoza capital,” reflecting the city’s blend of tradition and modern urban life — a natural fit for 3x3 basketball’s fast-paced, outdoor format.
The 2025 edition saw Miami (USA) begin their title-winning season with victory in Utsunomiya.
